Adding security and de-escalation to the region’s agenda

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasised the significance of enhancing regional security and de-escalation in the region, highlighting the fact that the State of Qatar has always sought to create a favourable environment for holding additional rounds of nuclear agreement negotiations.

His Excellency stressed the significance of enhancing economic and trade cooperation with Iran during a press conference held on Sunday in Tehran with HE Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s minister of foreign affairs. He emphasised that the two nations share many similarities, most notably in terms of religion and culture. He emphasised that the State of Qatar is constantly looking forward to enhancing its ties with all of the neighbouring nations.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis to show restraint, resolve the conflict diplomatically and through dialogue, settle international conflicts through peaceful means, and refrain from taking actions that would cause an escalation.
