Al Duhail qualifies for Amir’s Cup quarter final 

Yesterday at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium, Al Duhail, the defending champions, secured their place in the quarter-finals of the 51st Amir Cup by defeating Al Kharaitiyat 1-0. Hernan Crespo’s team will face Umm Salal in the next round, who managed to defeat Al Khor 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Yaseen Al Bakhit in their first Round of 16 clash. Al Duhail showed a strong performance in both halves against their second division opponents, with over 75% ball possession. Although they could not score more goals, despite four more shots on target, after Ismaeel Mohammad put them ahead in the 12th minute with a low hit after receiving a lob from captain Luiz Martin.
