Doha hosts world’s biggest fashion show with over 150 designers

Qatar Fashion United is a festival of art, music, and fashion. CR Runway, put on by Qatar Creates and CR Runway, included more than 150 designers from 50 different nations and six different continents, as well as well-known figures in the worlds of fashion and music. Two days before the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM finals, the massive event was presented to a sold-out audience of more than 20,000 spectators at Ras Abu Aboud 974 Stadium last night. The event, Qatar Fashion United by CR Runway, was the brainchild of HE Sheikha Canassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Qatar Museums, and was organized by CR Runway CEO Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld under the direction of French editor and visionary stylist Carine Roitfeld.

Her Excellency Sheikha Canassa noted in a statement on the occasion that Qatar Fashion United by CR Runway “Qatar Fashion United by CR Runway celebrated music, fashion, art, and architecture in the unique 974 stadium. An accumulation of years of hard work, QFU brought together people from all corners of the world, demonstrating the true power of culture – bringing together disciplines of fashion, music, art, heritage, and football to connect people and transcend borders. There could have been a no better time to celebrate fashion and football than now, in the final days of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, and I am so proud of all we have achieved – especially the Qatari and regional designers whose creativity and talent will lead the way for the future of fashion in the region.”
