Featuring local crops and foods at Mahaseel Festival

This year’s Mahaseel Festival served as another example of Qatar’s status as a food-self-sufficient country.

Furthermore, both domestic and foreign visitors interested in what the nation has to offer in the agricultural and food sectors have been attracted by the outstanding display of the best local produce, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers. There are at least 28 local farms participating in this seventh edition, which started last week and goes through Saturday, January 28. There are also six companies that only deal in poultry, meat, and dairy products, as well as nurseries. It runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is located on the southern side of Katara Cultural Village. In addition to the extensive selection of farm and food goods, there are also creative activities for kids, such as workshops where they can draw and colour and lectures on the value of agriculture, as well as kiddie and train rides.
