Gulf Children’s Day celebrated in Qatar

A Gulf Children’s Day event was held at the Social Development Center in The Pearl, Qatar, thanks to the Ministry of Social Development and Family’s collaboration with the Ministries of Education and Higher Education. The Gulf Children’s Day is observed annually on January 15 by the GCC member nations.

In order to establish a special international day for the Gulf children, which is an excellent opportunity to instill patriotism and to improve their national and Gulf identity, the celebration of this anniversary comes as a significant day. In addition to the experience of donning traditional Gulf dress and hoisting flags that represent the national identity, a number of educational, artistic, and recreational events were also organised during the celebration to help introduce kids to the cultures and traditions of each Gulf country. The participating kids were also given access to crucial foundational knowledge about Gulf ancestry, origins, and environment.
