Iconic 5 stadiums transit tours offered by Discover Qatar
Qatar is known as a destination for sports enthusiasts, especially after the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Discover Qatar (DQ) has launched three new Transit Tours that cater to transit passengers and highlight Qatar’s sports offerings.
Qatar 2022 stadium tour
One of the tours takes tourists across Qatar’s leading stadiums to re-experience the excitement of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The guided coach tours offer a unique experience for passengers to explore Qatar’s culture, heritage, and history during the world’s most prestigious sporting event. The tour includes an exterior visit to five of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums, including the innovative Stadium 974 before its permanent disassembly.
Amenities offered at Oryx Airport Hotel
Passengers who are transiting for four hours or more can also elevate their journey with two hours of squash at the squash court of Oryx Airport Hotel located within Hamad International Airport. The tour also includes access to the showers at the Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Center at Oryx Airport Hotel and all necessary equipment. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy an on-demand golf tour while waiting for their next connecting flight at Hamad International Airport. The tour includes a one-hour access to the Golf Simulator in the Vitality Wellbeing & Fitness Center at Oryx Airport Hotel. The state-of-the-art Golf Simulator offers a high level of precision and realism.
Booking facilities
The Transit Tours can be booked online up to 48 hours before arrival in Doha or offline at the Qatar Tourism/Discover Qatar kiosk in the Duty Free Plaza on arrival at Hamad International Airport. The Discover Qatar World Cup Stadiums Tour is priced at USD 42 per adult, USD 21 per child under the age of 12, and free of charge for children below the age of two. The squash tour is priced at USD 25 per adult, and a minimum of two customers are required to make a booking. The golf tour is priced at USD 33 per person.
