In January 2016, HMC made history by being the world’s first healthcare system to have all of its hospitals recognised by Joint Commission International under the Academic Medical Center accreditation scheme. HMC has set ambitious plans to extend capacity across its network until 2030 in order to satisfy the requirements of a rapidly rising population.
