MoU singned to boosts Qatar-Netherlands labor cooperation

To strengthen their bilateral collaboration on labor concerns, the governments of Qatar and the Netherlands signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday.

In addition to the Head of the International Labor Organization (ILO) Office in Doha, Max Tunon, the MoU was also signed by the Minister of Labor of Qatar, HE Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Wopke Hoekstra, and the ILO. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to strengthen the cooperation strategy implemented by Qatar with various governments and international organizations, including the Ministry of Labor and the government of the Netherlands in cooperation with the ILO in labor fields, particularly in dispute resolution techniques, social dialogue, and wage protection. The MoU also intends to improve technical cooperation between qualified governmental and semi-governmental entities in the context of exchanging knowledge and leading global practices in the labor sphere. It also aims to simplify the exchange of information, delegations, and specialists.
