Old Doha Port areas will soon have public transportation
According to Old Doha Port Executive Director, Engr Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla, conversations about public transit options to service the port and its surrounding regions have advanced.
“Now, we are in advanced discussion with all involved parties to make sure we do have a collaborative approach, not only limited to Doha Port but a strategic approach to serve the neighboring entities also like the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) on one side and the National Museum of Qatar on the other.” Engr Al Mulla continued, “We are working together with our colleagues and these entities to make sure we put a plan in place that will serve not only Doha Port but also other adjacent developments.” During the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, from November to December, the general public and visitors may go to the Old Doha Port using a special bus that makes stops at Souq Waqif, Corniche, Flag Plaza, Box Park, and Cruise Terminal.
