Qatar Meteorology predicts rain this weekend
Since there will likely be strong winds and high seas during the weekend, there will probably still be scattered clouds and a risk of rain. This was mentioned in the weather prediction from the Qatar Meteorology Department.
The lowest and highest temperatures possible from Thursday through Saturday are 15 and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively. On Friday, winds will be from the northwest to the northeast at a speed of 8 to 18 knots, occasionally reaching 28 knots inshore. Offshore, it may reach 05 to 25 knots with gusts up to 33 knots. On Saturday, winds will be out of the northwest at a speed of 8 to 18 knots, with gusts as high as 29 knots offshore. Sea heights will be between 2 and 5 feet inshore on both days, peaking at 11 feet offshore on Friday and 10 feet offshore on Saturday. This morning, rain fell throughout several parts of Qatar, including Doha, as the Department advised caution due to unexpected high winds and poor visibility. Northeast of the nation’s territorial seas, close to the Ras Laffan platform, a waterspout was also seen. As waves are anticipated to exceed 10 feet during thundery rain, the meteorological service also issued a maritime warning for thundery rain with strong wind and high seas. The Department advised staying away from all maritime activities during this time.
