Qatar Ports handle 31% more cargo in September

The number of vessels visiting Hamad, Doha and Al Ruwais ports in Qatar grew by 3% percent in September continuing the sector’s strong performance seen in previous months. Furthermore, in September, the three ports moved over 132,270 tonnes of General Cargo, an increase of 31% from August 2022. There was a one percent rise from August to September with 123,006 TEUs being handled through three ports in total.

The newest annual report from Mwani Qatar predicts that Qatar’s marine sector will continue to expand strongly during the coming year thanks to the efforts of relevant authorities to increase cargo traffic at the ports and the subsequent improvement of supply chains.
