Qatar ranked among top leading countries for attracting, developing talent

In the 2022 IMD World Talent Ranking created by the World Competitiveness Center (WCC), a division of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Qatar is rated 34th.

According to the most recent assessments, Qatar fell three positions to land in the 63 economies examined. The rankings in its ninth edition state that because talent mobility is unpredictable, firms and governments must make their economies more attractive in order to draw in both domestic and international talent. In 2018, Qatar was rated 24th, while in the previous four reports, it had been placed 26, 29, 31, and 34th, respectively. Qatar came in at number 44, behind Saudi Arabia in the region and ahead of the UAE, in the area of talent investment and development at home. Qatar came in 30th for the availability of skills and competences in the talent pool, up three ranks from the year before, while coming in 22nd for its attraction to international talent.
