Qatar Sports Investments buys a stake in Clube de Braga.

Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the investing firm behind several world-leading sports brands and enterprises, signed a share purchase agreement with Olivedesportos, SGPS, S.A. to acquire 21.67% of SC Braga’s share capital. QSI will acquire SC Braga shares in the coming months, pending certain conditions.

Sporting Clube de Braga’s men’s and women’s teams compete in the first league of Portuguese football. The club was founded in 1921. The men’s squad has participated in Primeira Liga since 1975 and is presently 3rd. The club’s youth academy is one of the best in Portugal.
