QMD warns of thundery rain with strong wind across country

According to the Department of Meteorology’s daily weather forecast, the weather inshore tonight through Friday at 6 p.m. will be foggy in some spots at first, partly overcast to cloudy with rain that can thunder at times, and chilly at night.

It also issued a warning about the forecast thundery downpour, high winds, and occasionally low visibility. The report also warned of predicted thundery rain along with strong wind and high sea, predicting that it will be partly overcast to cloudy with thundery rain offshore. Inshore winds from the northwest will reach 28 KT in some locations and will occasionally include thundery showers. Offshore, there will be a 10 to 20 KT to 25 KT northwesterly wind with thundery rain. In areas with thundery rain, visibility will be between 4 and 8/3 kilometres or less. With thunder and rain, the inshore sea condition will increase to 5 FT from 2 to 4 FT. Offshore, there will be thunder rain and 3 to 6 rises to 8 FT. According to its weather updates on social media, the majority of the country continues to experience rain, which can occasionally be thunderous.
