Yesterday, Dukhan Bank successfully listed its shares on the main market of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). The listing ceremony was held at the QSE headquarters and was attended by officials from QSE, Dukhan Bank, and Qatar’s financial market. With the addition of Dukhan Bank, the total number of listed companies on QSE’s main market has increased to 50.
The bank’s shares were listed through the “Direct Listing” mechanism, a common mechanism in regional markets that enables companies to be listed without going through an initial public offering (IPO). Abdul Aziz Nasser Al-Emadi, Acting CEO of QSE, expressed his satisfaction with the listing of Dukhan Bank, as it increases the depth of the market and provides investors with opportunities to invest in leading Qatari companies. He also mentioned that Dukhan Bank is only the second company to be listed on the main market of QSE through the Direct Listing mechanism.
