Sheikha Mayassa inaugurates TotalEnergies playground
The TotalEnergies stadium in Qatar, which is housed in the National Museum of Qatar, was officially opened yesterday by H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums (QM). The stadium offers families an exceptional opportunity to explore the history of energy in Qatar through purposeful play.
Patrick Pouyanne, the chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, as well as a number of other prominent individuals, attended the inauguration event.
The playground was created by Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) and built by Public Works Authority under the sponsorship of TotalEnergies as part of their relationship with Qatar Museums (Ashghal).
It is intended to provide a comprehensive educational experience where visitors of all ages can become familiar with Qatar’s various energy sources, which range from renewable energy sources and electricity to oil, gas, and liquefied natural gas (LNG). The concept of sustainability is also addressed through a variety of topics, including carbon sequestration and storage, polymer recycling, and traffic safety.
