Sheikha Moza visits Earthna 2023 opening

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, graced the opening ceremony of the Earthna Summit 2023 at Msheireb Downtown Doha. The Summit, which lasts for two days, centers on the theme of “Building New Sustainability Pathways for Hot and Arid Environments.” It brings together sustainability experts, policymakers, and indigenous peoples to exchange knowledge and learn from each other. The event aims to shed light on ancestral solutions to climate challenges and how these may help advance sustainability plans today.

At the Summit’s opening ceremony, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani expressed that the Earthna Summit 2023 provides an opportunity to build a community of environmental stakeholders who can contribute to shaping the future of sustainability in hot and dry regions. The Summit offers a platform to highlight countries with hot and dry climates, which are often excluded from global climate discussions.
