Shura Council Deputy Speaker meets parliamentary delegations

Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, deputy speaker of the shura council, met yesterday with a number of visiting members of parliaments and national assemblies.

The meeting included Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly H.E. Sereyya Sadi Bilgic, Secretary-General of Omani Majlis A’Shura H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Nasser Al Nadabi, Deputy Speaker of Libyan Parliament H.E. Fawzi Al Nuiri, Head of the Qatar-Algeria Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Algerian People’s National Assembly H.E. Yahi Ali, Secretary- General of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) H.E. Muhammad Qureshi, Advisor to the Libyan presidency Abdullah Amer and foreign relations and protocol officer at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Ahmet Ozturk.

The parliamentarians applauded the superb organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022^TM at various levels, highlighting that the State of Qatar has proven its capability in organising an exceptional tournament as it promised the world. It has also succeeded in creating a conducive environment for this football feast and achieving its goals of improving communication and rapprochement among the peoples.
