Thuraya and Suhail set for Dubai’s Challenge

The 18th Hankook 24H Dubai endurance event, which begins at the Dubai Autodrome tomorrow, will include 52 competitors from 42 teams, including two Qatari GT3 teams, QMMF Thuraya and QMMF Suhail.

Abdulla Al Khelaifi, Ghanim Al Ali, and Ibrahim Abdulghani are on the two teams, which are supported by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), Porsche Center Doha, Al Buraq Automotive Company, and Lusail International Circuit. Abdullah Al Abbasi, Ibrahim Al Mannai, and AbdulAziz Al Jabri are on the QMMF Suhail team, which is number 930. The two semi-pro drivers, German Julian Hanes and Swedish Daniel Ros, will be behind the wheel for the two teams as well. In the GT3 Cup (992), both teams will enter Porsche 911 vehicles. The presence of 6 Qatari drivers in the 24-hour challenge represents an important step towards the spread and development of motorsport, in addition to preparing competitors in prestigious races of this caliber, said QMMF President Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai in response to the participation of the two teams.
