WISH 2022 closing ceremony attended by Sheikha Moza
The closing ceremony of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) 2022 was held on Thursday at Education City in Doha, Qatar, and was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairperson of Qatar Foundation.
The final day of the summit featured the launch of the “WISH Declaration on Disability Inclusion in Sport and Health,” which highlighted the contribution sports can make toward promoting accessible, inclusive, and equitable health care.
The declaration, which was drafted by the WHO, the International Disability Alliance, and WISH, is a rallying cry for more accessible and inclusive sports. Many other heads of state and influential figures were present at the ceremony, including Samia Suluhu Hassan, president of Tanzania; Dr Fatima Maada Bio, first lady of Sierra Leone; Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA; Hassan Al Thawadi, secretary-general of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy; and Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, vice-chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, along with a number of other leaders and decision makers.
