Qatar and Turkey signed several agreements

Several bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were formalized between Qatar and Turkey on Friday evening at Istanbul’s Dolmabahce Palace in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey.

 

Among the agreements witnessed by both leaders were:

  • A cooperation protocol between Qatar Media Corporation and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
  • A memorandum of understanding regarding halal quality infrastructure between Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health and Turkey’s Ministry of Trade and Halal Accreditation Agency.
  • An agreement on judicial cooperation between the judicial systems of both countries.

 

Additionally, agreements were signed on:

  • Food security.
  • Disaster and emergency management, involving the Qatar Fund for Development and Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.
  • Construction.
  • The establishment and operation of cultural centers.
  • Telecommunications.

These agreements underscored the strengthening of ties and cooperation across various sectors between Qatar and Turkey.
