Public Health Minister praises Qatar’s health initiatives
Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, Qatar’s Minister of Public Health, announced Qatar’s latest milestone in health initiatives. All municipalities across Qatar are now designated as Healthy Cities, Qatar University as a “Healthy University,” and Qatar Foundation’s Education City as “Health Education City.” This achievement reflects Qatar’s commitment to sustainable health solutions, guided by the visionary leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
“This accomplishment, achieved in a remarkably short timeframe, underscores the dedication and collaboration of our teams and partners within the Healthy Cities Network,” Dr. Al Kuwari emphasized. She expressed determination to continue enhancing public health by fostering coordination among government entities and the community.
Earlier in February, Doha and Al Rayyan were recognized as Healthy Cities, with Education City receiving the designation of Healthy Education City concurrently.
