Strong winds and thundery rain forecast

According to the daily weather report by the Department of Meteorology, the weather inshore until 6 pm on Monday will be moderately warm during the day with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a possibility of scattered rain, which may be thundery at times. The report warned of expected thundery rain accompanied by strong winds.

Some parts of the country, including Doha, received scattered rain early in the morning, and offshore conditions will be hazy, partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain that may be thundery at times. The report also cautioned of expected thundery rain accompanied by strong winds and high seas.

During thundery rain, the wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly, gusting to 28 KT, while offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly, gusting to 30 KT. The visibility will be between 4 to 8/3 kilometers or less at times.
