Vulnerable community needs are met unrelentingly by Qatar

The State of Qatar emphasised that it would never be reluctant to exert unceasing efforts to maintain its position as an effective strategic partner in response to needs and challenges, particularly in the most vulnerable communities, and it noted that it had carried out a number of initiatives and made contributions that had a positive effect on the lives of millions of people around the world.

Qatar will keep taking the lead, collaborate closely with multilateral organisations, support efforts to fortify the global alliance for achieving sustainable development, and lessen the responsibilities of shared difficulties. This was stated in a speech for Qatar that was recorded and given yesterday in front of the Special High-Level Event of the General Assembly and ECOSOC: Doha Program of Action as an Accelerator of the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The speaker was HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. He emphasised that the international community’s solidarity in assisting the least developed countries in implementing the Doha Program of Action will contribute to achieving the comprehensive and sustainable development of these countries and build their capacities to stand resilient in the face of upcoming crises. He stated that Qatar is a key partner in the efforts made to respond to the needs and priorities of the least developed countries.
