Cruise season to bring 200,000 visitors to Qatar

The resumption of the 2022–2023 cruise season has been confirmed by Qatar Tourism (QT) and Mwani Qatar, who anticipate about 50 cruise lines and over 200,000 passengers between now and the end of April 2023.

Over the course of the season, guests from cruise liners will be greeted at the Cruise Terminal, a newly constructed facility that honors traditional Arabian architecture. The MSC World Europa, MSC Opera, and MSC Poesia will be among the big international cruise liners providing “floating accommodation” for thousands of fans from across the world throughout the tournament when passengers dock at Doha Port, a freshly rebuilt port. The Mina District, one of Qatar’s newest tourist sites, is situated in the Port and offers locals and guests a variety of eateries and shopping options as well as a cool seaside promenade. The National Museum of Qatar, Souq Waqif, Msheireb Downtown Doha, and the Doha Corniche, from where tourists can see the city skyline, are just a short stroll from the Port, making it the ideal location for foreign travelers.
