HE Hassan Al Thawadi evaluates the influence of Qatar 2022

H.E Hassan Al Thawadi said at a special event sponsored by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM had brought together individuals from all ethnicities and backgrounds.

The conference, titled “The Power of Innovation for a Post-Pandemic World,” took place in Katara Cultural Village in Doha and stressed the need of promoting well-being for all ages and ensuring healthy lifestyles in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The event was attended by Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, David Beckham, and Nadia Nadim, as well as H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health for Qatar, and Bill Gates, Co-Founder of Microsoft and Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The seminar also considered how advancements in technology and medicine may help shield the world from a pandemic in the future.
