Qatar’s global agenda mainly spotlights on education rights

During the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) held at QNCC, Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi emphasized the significance of education as a key element for sustainable development. The commemorative session, which focused on a new generation of partnerships for progress, was chaired by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

According to the Minister, the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries aimed to provide universal access to quality education that is inclusive and equitable. The program sought to equip learners with the necessary skills for lifelong learning opportunities. In her address to the session, the Minister stressed the importance of prioritizing education as a means of achieving any new breakthroughs. She believes that education is a vital enabling element for sustainable development and progress.
