US arrives in Qatar as the first World Cup squad
For the purpose of getting ready for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, the USA national football team landed in Doha today. Ten days before the competition begins, the US team became the first to arrive in Qatar.
Gregg Berhalter’s American squad is staying at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski on the Pearl. About 15 kilometres (nine miles) away, at the Al Gharafa club ground, they will train.
For the first time in eight years, the United States is participating in the championship game. Today, World Cup head coach Berhalter unveiled the final 26-man roster.
In Group B of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM finals, the US national football team will face off against Iran, Wales, and England.
The team’s World Cup campaign will begin on November 21 against Wales in Group B at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, followed by matches against England on November 25 at Al Bayt Stadium and Iran on November 29 at Al Thumama Stadium.
